The 34th Festival Mozartmanía in Alfàs del Pi will conclude on Saturday 26 October with the world premiere of the concerto for guitar and orchestra ‘Edinburgh’, by the composer Juan Francisco Tortosa Esteve.
The Orquesta ADDA Simfònica Alicante, conducted by Josep Vicent, will be in charge of performing this work for the first time, which will bring the 34th edition of the Festival Mozartmanía to a close, with the guitarist Julia Trintschuk as soloist.
The Alhambra Guitarras Foundation, the Diputación of Alicante and the Alfàs del Pi City Council are sponsoring this concert, a composition for guitar and orchestra with which the composer wishes to pay a sincere tribute to Edinburgh and the Scottish people as a nation.

Juan Francisco Tortosa's Edinburgh, premiered by the Orquesta ADDA Sinfónica conducted by Josep Vicent at the Mozartmanía Festival in L'Alfàs del Pi, is a tribute to the Scottish city of Edinburgh and its culture. This composition for guitar and orchestra, performed by award-winning guitarist Julia Trintschuk, combines sensitivity and depth, reflecting the essence of Scotland through delicate and evocative sounds.
The premiere has been well received, highlighting Tortosa's ability to capture the essence of Scottish culture, as well as the ADDA Sinfónica's ability to convey varied emotional and stylistic nuances, which fit with the innovative character of the work. Tortosa, whose work has been endorsed by the renowned Joaquín Rodrigo, has received multiple international accolades confirming his talent in contemporary music.
